Yumna Haroon -
Two Years Experience in University Life
apart-from-each other departments.
I am confused why some people say they're disappointed by it, common guys? Are you people expecting KU and
other private Universities to be similar? Well then you should be ready to pay the similar semester fees. From
what fee we pay its great! We all know the government conditions in the country. Whoever moans about the
classes and teachers should not forget that some students have difficulty in understanding simple English, let
alone the course topics. Teachers don't have just a particular group to teach, but a whole class to take along
with them. And Ofcourse if you want them to give you lectures according to your intellect then kindly grow up and
stop being unselfish. There are Private Universities available with their gates open in Karachi. Stop whining about
the management when you're not willing to take part in doing something for it. These two years gave me my
best friends my late comer classmates, my experiences of the practical world and much more. I don't feel small
when I mention im a part of it. It's a world in itself. And im proud of it.
P.s Dear hotshots of IBA, instead of coming all the way to our new pharmacy canteens for your 'Khappay' and
lunchs why don't you guys use your own cafeteria?
P.p.s I love the newly constructed Silver gate with University Of Karachi written across it.
Hahahahah !! That is some headstrong reply. Why did you take so much time coming up with it?
ReplyDeletetook me a while to throw this in their faces :D
DeleteI wish the 'itnay main itna he milay ga' policy included some teeny weeny bit of teaching too. Sigh!
ReplyDeleteHan Haniya, You know what? i REALLY wish that too. but Alhumdulillah! some body somewhere might be wishing they had what we have. :(
DeleteWell if we all for a second agree to it, in that case it's more like "oh we are living in Pakistan, the terrorism, the bomb blasts, the target killing and snatching, bhayee its pakistan what else were you expecting. So lets all pack our bags and leave"
ReplyDeleteAnd lets all get our facts clear, private universities charge more because of the facilities they provide, not for how their teachers end up teaching. A university by definition is "a high-level educational institution in which students study for degrees and academic research is done." So clearly educational bit in either type should be the same and its not like KU completely lacks it, since clearly we do have teachers who teach us to that level. Also people coming from a different spectrum also come to learn not to hear teachers whine about their life issues. Language isn't a barrier, if I am being taught in a purely urdu environment, I am more than willing to cross the distances between those departments.
Nisma, i love your comment!

ReplyDeletestop being unselfish."
Um, what? I don't even know how to rationally argue with that statement. We're supposed to want to grow in intellect, not dumb ourselves down to the level of the people who know nothing and want to go on knowing nothing.
Also, on a side note, shouldn't it be 'stop being selfish' instead of UNselfish? Kindergarten english revision time?
Dear Anum, who told you to argue? and yeahhhhh *typing fault ADMITTED humbly* that was an error i made since i wrote this on my android and didnt check it before submitting but hey, youre right, should have been : "STOP BEING SELFISH", time for revising your morals ;)
DeleteWell, well, well, a string of headstrong replies !!
ReplyDeletehahahaha :D i saw this coming!
