If this world is a jungle then which animal Pakistan would be?By Sumera Andlib

If  world is a jungle, Pakistan would be a Lion. Lion is the king of Jungle, just as Pakistan. I will use my brush and pen single-handedly to defend my country’s honor and bring the best of Pakistan to light that was hidden for the last 65 years. Starting from Bravery of our great leader Mr. Muhammad Ali Jinnah, there are endless names in history of Pakistan who showed up their bravery as a Lion.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal fought for a true Muslim nation with full devotion and strong determination and fortunately achieved their goal. 6th September is one of the greatest days in History of Pakistan – the Defence Day, celebrated as National Day in Pakistan. Our Army officers like Captain Sarwar, Major Tufail, Major Raja Aziz Bhatti, Major Shabbir Sharif, Major Muhammad Akram, Sawar Muhammad Hussain, Lance Naik Muhammad Mehfooz, and Havaldar Lalak Jan gave sacrifices of their life for Pakistan and were awarded with "Nishan-e-Haider" for their acts of exceptional bravery. Similarly just as in 1947, there are still many Brave people who are dedicating their lives for Pakistan. Aitzaz Hasan was a Pakistani school boy from Hangu District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province who sacrificed his life while preventing a suicide bomber from entering his school of 2,000 students at Ibrahimzai village of Hangu, on January 6, 2014. He was hailed as a national hero. Looking forward, Pakistan is a talented country.

If we talk about a talented Pakistan we can feel proud of the youngest girl Arfa Abdul Karim who was a Pakistani student and computer prodigy who in 2004 at the age of nine years became the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) throughout the world and showed her superb talent in field of Information Technology. Imran Khan, Javed Miandad and Shahid Afridi are the most talented cricketers in Pakistan who made us proud all over the world.

Despite of all the positive aspects, I would like to give a look upon Negativity of Pakistan:

If world is a jungle, Pakistan would be Jackal. Corrupt cops, Poor get poorer and Rich get Richer there is no balance between two, no government help for poor people, no medical help at all in interior areas.

Social media is playing a worst role in exaggerating Pakistan as a terrorist country. Social Media is leaving a bad impact of Pakistan for spreading of vulgarity, immodesty and illegal activities. Government is not paying any attention on major issues like Drone Attacks. Thousands of people die day by day because of Drone attacks in northern Pakistan. Corruption in all departments is on the top of list. Traffic police in Pakistan is the most non-cooperating and corrupt department as they don’t bother to help the middle class of the country. Taxes are increasing with passage of time. Pakistan is the country where you can’t get justice in the shortest period of time, long postponed hearings make the case and justice look useless and the criminals enjoy it. Life becomes so insecure in Pakistan and government is just dancing here and there like Jackals and doing nothing for securing the future of the Country.

IF THE WORLD WOULD HAVE BEEN A JUNGLE, WHAT ANIMAL PAKISTAN WOULD BE?

If world is to be a jungle and all countries in the world are to resemble any animal then talking about Pakistan is not a very difficult question. The topic we would talk about is that what Pakistan would be considered as in this jungle.

Pakistan is like a bird that never flies but it is known for his power, courage and self-respect and as an icon of motivation towards others. People like to have that bird as a status of power and authority, but before doing that they cut off its talons and its wings, so that it can never fly back to its own destination, its real destination. And they keep on doing so that they make sure that it never grows up his talons and wings. To keep it tamed, they feed that proud bird who now becomes a toy for its master.

Pakistan is a proud Falcon, but the one who is kept in drawing rooms and living rooms of authorities, the one with their talons cut short and no more wings to fly with. Our actual home is on the top of the world. Our integrity, honor and courage have been compromised upon by our own self. The only thing that needs to be done is that we work upon our self-respect and integrity. This is all what our great leaders taught us. This is what Islam teaches us. The day when we would not allow anyone to cut short our talons and wings (self-respect and integrity) by our actions (courage), that day our journey to the top of world would begin.

The animal Pakistan is...

If the world is a jungle, what animal would Pakistan be? I've given it a lot of thought. I thought about it from every different angle and tried to come to a conclusion but failed miserably. Pakistan can’t be labelled because it’s not just one thing. There is a different view from every angle and it’s one of a kind.
The people who reside in this land are different from one another. There are varying religions, culture, lifestyles, values and norms which makes it hard for me to decide upon one thing.

Let’s take an example of he people who govern this wonderful land. I feel as if  some people who run this state are baboons. They eat their prey alive and it is only when the prey takes its last breath, the torture ends.
There are many more analogies that can be given but it only proves that Pakistan is a jungle in itself. It has many varieties of species that live in this habitat and have their own niche.

But the question remains unanswered? What animal Pakistan would be? What animal would, if not exactly, define Pakistan a little? To that, I still drew a blank. There is literally nothing that I might compare it with because Pakistan is so many things at once.

Maybe, Pakistan might be a species of its own. Maybe, Pakistan is so unique and incomparable that it requires a new addition to the animal kingdom.

But, since I must, I decided upon looking at Pakistan from this one particular angle. I think Pakistan is a dog. I could said horse because it sounds graceful but I am trying to be truthful about my thoughts here.
A dog is known by its faithfulness to its master. Regardless of what happens the dog remains with its master till the end. Pakistan is like that to me and to all other Pakistanis. No matter how hard the times get and no matter what happens after that, we’d still have this land. This land that has been faithful to us throughout. This land that is a blessing of the Almighty. We take it for granted and we blame it for our shortcomings when it is us who can shape this country in to a lion.

Primitively Human aka Monkey – The Animal That Pakistan is!

There’s no fun calling it a donkey as it is to call it a “Gadha”. There’s no fun calling it a Jackal as it is to call it a “Geedar” or maybe a “Kutta” and not an oh-so-sophisticated “dog”. Pakistan qualifies for a lot of wild animals viewing its day to day dynamics. To me the closest resemblance is that of a “Bandar” – a monkey it is!

hackneyed, imitative, and Primitive, Pakistan is one of its kind in being exclusively ordinary. No matter how much loaded with talent the country may be, we are bound to follow international systems, global cultures, foreign researches and unfamiliar stories.

If the world follows democratic system, we are bound to follow it blindly. Despite 80% population being illiterate, we have to put the future of the 180 million people, the prospect of 796,095 sq kms of land and the billions of dollars of reserves, in the hands of those who don’t have the power and sense to choose what’s best and what’s not, all in the name of “Coping up with International Systems” that’s what monkeys do, FOLLOW!

And it’s not just the democracy to dictatorship debate, coming down to knowledge. We IMPORT knowledge than produce it. Just like monkeys, adopting whatever we see in the outside world. There’s no effect of the Darwinian evolution on this lot of monkeys. they might have evolved physically but mentally they’re all still monkeys.

And come to talk of 60 years of development? Where’s the development? I don’t see a crap in the name of development. And even if there was some, its gone. It’s the perfect view of a hackneyed state. Just like monkeys, no matter how much evolution occurred, they remain themselves: an uncivilized lot of imitators.
And then there’s the roughness, the crudity in our culture, the coarseness in our behaviour and the no-so-royal attitude of our people. See something free, shoot at it, get someone beneficial,  annoy him seeking favours until he refutes any relationship with you. In whatever we do socially and however we manage to grab our rights, we make sure clumsiness shows through us. Just like monkeys, we are primitively uncultured.

World is a forest and Pakistan would be!!!!

Today, earth is a forest and all the country are animals, we all know that who is the loin of the forest , Obviously America but if I m thinking about Pakistan only confusion…

Firstly I think Dog no any new reason all the time Pakistan behave like obedient Dog of America. We are facing our worst time because of part of this Terrorism war. Pakistan always obey the orders,  in any International meeting Pakistan treated like slave. be Loyal with his owner who gave money unfortunately, we salute that country except that was  Saudia Arab.

Somebody say Pakistan have the quality  of a donkey as well , having no their own Decision, no any future plane or every one took advantage for him and in last Pakistan is Donkey.
Pakistan was not do all this, the characteristics we all were described that created by the people live at. Its true itself Pakistan is a body but their soul who, people live there. Sorry but unfortunately we all have these characteristics……….

If this world is a jungle then which animal Pakistan would be?

                                                             By MAHA KHURSHID

Suppose, if this world is a jungle then which animal Pakistan would be? It’s difficult for me to select one animal for Pakistan. The first that came to my mind is a pet animal. Its body is covered with hairs. The sound it produces is commonly heard as ‘Meeowwwww’. Yes! It is a cat. (Billi)
Why I choose Cat to represent Pakistan? I just happen to remember the story in which the Cat taught a lesson to Lion, how to go hunting? What happened next was, the Lion applied these same techniques to hunt its aunt. I.e the Cat Ofcourse, We all know that Billi is Sher-ki-Khala something no? Why so, we will find out.

So the clever Antie Cat said, 'LOL! I knew it you jerk!', that’s why I taught you everything except one; how to climb a tree. And up cat jumped, Hah! So, in this way the Cat saved its life. Behold! from that day Cat is called the Lion's Aunt.

Actually ‘Meow’ factor is quite related to Pakistani nature. How? Pronounce slowly the word ‘meow’ like ‘mai aown’ always ready to so-called help others. Like in Afghanistan refuges case. I don’t understand why Pakistani trade sector is so desperate to give “Best Trading Award’ to India.
Most of the Pakistani politicians are copy cats. They never use their own mind and always copy each other. Cats are greedy same as our Pakistan is always begging for MORE money from IMF, or Aids from US in return for its sovereignty. Pakistani rulers copy different countries for their own benefit. Many are doing ‘Cat Walks’ on the commands of Scotland Yard police or other powerful sources. (I hope you get the damn hint?)
I believe that today Pakistan passes through such grave circumstances behaving like a ‘Bhege Billi’ (afraid cat), in front of super powers, forever licking their feet and asking them for attention. But unsurprisingly it never blinks an eye just like a cat when it comes to helping its own people. At that time it becomes the annoying ‘Jungli Billi’ (Wild Cat), forever ordering poor people to pay the increasing taxes and giving no benefits or work/labour in return.

For me at least Pakistan is a better animal than the other animals of the world's jungle. When Pakistan would be recognize its strength, be united and be original.

if this world is a Jungle, Which animal Pakistan is?

… I wish I could relate Pakistan to a lion but unfortunately I can’t, although I love my country but I could not overlook the realities. Pakistan is very unpredictable so, relating it to a single animal will be very unjust.
It follow the strategy of a cuckoo bird ,who never makes its own nest and laid their  eggs singly in the nests of certain other bird species to be incubated by the foster parents, who rear the young cuckoo, same as Pakistan never make decisions by its own it always rely on other country to make decisions for her. The only difference between the cuckoo and Pakistan is cuckoo could rely on the nest of any bird and Pakistan always rely on America to deal their matters.

On some issues it adopts the strategy of an ostrich, that in the case of any threat it stuck its head in to the sand assuming that he is not the part of a problem any more .Similarly Pakistan turn blind and deaf to many problems, like terrorism, corruption, poverty and education

Pakistan is very sluggish but other can’t underestimate Pakistan as we never underestimate the turtle because we know that sometimes slow and steady wins the race.

Pakistan could not rule over the world like a lion but it enhance its beauty ,it easily become the victim of  evil strategies ,it has a variety of stratagem to protect themselves  but it is defensive less and  fragile just like a butterfly.

Unfortunately in the hands of corruption, evil strategies and terrorism we are losing our colors, our pride….

We look different in every region from colors to culture, we caught in many difficulties but we make our way to get out of it, despite of many crises we live with high hopes and expectation as the butterfly did.
By Bushra Asim---“Which animal Pakistan would be?????”

The topic made me to think deeply…. Some says Dog, some says donkey, crow, pig, and so on… it appears less and less people talk positive things about Pakistan… Well, everyone has his own viewpoint I alone can’t zip anyone’s lips, or change their minds …
To portray a country is a high responsibility, for me it’s really a serious matter; I took much days for it as in order to relate Pakistan, my beloved country, with any animal i had to excogitate...

I believe in seeing both sides of a coin… I agree Pakistan is a country which has many dark sides like terrorism, extremism, corruption etc, but we should also not forget that we are living in a country which is the first Muslim country in the world to construct and operate civil nuclear power plants, the second largest gas infrastructure in the world, a country which is running the World’s largest Ambulance network, having the sixth largest military force in the world,  Fourth largest broadband internet system of world is in Pakistan, and so on…

After having a deep study on different animal’s nature, I think as a country (animal) in a world (jungle), Pakistan is an elephant

Pakistan is facing external and internal threats for the survival but still it stands, no one can undo it, just as other animals of a jungle wants to pull elephant’s leg and fall it down but it still stands to protect its herd...

I found elephant such a highly developed sensibility, a deep-rooted sense of family, care, feel, and compassionate animal and yes, remembering the big contribution of Pakistan to humanitarian aids in the disasters like tsunami and earthquakes etc, we can surely and undoubtedly say that Pakistan also has a sense of care, and shine humanity...

No country is perfect and so as Pakistan….. We should acts as the shelter and show care about our country’s image…. Pakistan is not a bad country, it is badly-managed country, with our persistent efforts, a positive outlook and by not losing hope...it will RISE insha'Allah!

So this is what I think about Pakistan…

 BY HUNAINA ISRA

IF WORLD IS A JUNGLE?THEN WHAT ABOUT MY COUNTRY?WHICH ANIMAL IS IT?

I am a proud Pakistani! Yes I am…
This world is a jungle where everyone wants to be lion but the lion is one who has the power of all…..
What about “AMERICA” can you name this country as a lion of jungle?
Unfortunately Yes, because it is the super power and control the third world countries like Pakistan,
So now Can I name Pakistan as a dog of a jungle?owl? donkey?monkey?ostrich?lion?cat? NO no….
·         Pakistan has hidden power
·         Strength to deal with enemies
·         Courage to do anything when anyone says against its honor
·         It has loyalty factor when needed specially for other Muslim countries
·         Passion to leave a mark on world scale, Although it is small country but not hidden one
·         Has inner beauty in all aspects

I also admit that I tried to highlight only the positive side and ignoring the ground realities..I can also say Pak as a dog of America, because it depends on America but not honest to America, cunning fox who has intelligence but Pakistan is  not the provider to others, horse has stability and yet Pakistan have stability but not freedom…

As  mentioned animals Pakistan have one quality but not the both..
That’s why I ll like to say tiger of a jungle which has “power, strength courage ,skillfulnesstactfulness, passion, loyalty etc… and when I am a proud and happy Pakistani so ill surely highlights its brighter side..

If this world is a Jungle, Which animal Pakistan is?

This was the ‘Question’ our respected teacher exploded over our heads, when he asked us to give him a topic for our next blog and no one responded. From that day till now when I am writing it, almost all the species of animals have gone through my mind, hoping to find the one that best suits our country. Hey, wait? Do we have to compare Pakistan with an animal? or an animal with Pakistan? Not sure!

When it comes to find such animal, I think Pakistan is that newly-found specie of animal that can disguise itself in any animal it wants to, according to the situation and its surroundings. A Smart-animal that can camouflage in any specie for its survival on the specifications of others.

Like sometimes it becomes an Ostrich, sticking his head into the sand when it feels any threat, assuming that if it can’t see the problem, the problem can’t see it either, (The ostrich theory, yes).  Pakistan also tries to ignore the problem at first, rather than trying to solve it, and find a way out, whether it is related to our law and order, internal security, Illiteracy, corruption whatsoever. It shuts its eyes to make its problems become oblivious.

Pakistan having a body like that of an elephant, with a huge population still lacks the power to dominate. Its over-weight is a big problem for itself too, which makes it lazy to move even for its own sake.
Then sometimes it behaves like a Dugdugi-Monkey that dances to the beat of it, played by “International Thing Tanks” and happily making fun of itself in hopes to quench its thirst.

And at times, it becomes way too much over confident, like that Rabbit on a race with that turtle. It often happens in series of cricket matches Pakistan plays, especially against India. In which, Pakistan having the best bowlers and batmen, still couldn't beat India. Same like that happened in the race of the Rabbit and turtle, in which a rabbit thinking that turtle can’t run faster than him, decides to take a nap for a while during the race. When it wakes up, it finds that turtle has won it already.

So these are some of the animals I think, can relate to Pakistan. But all in all, we can make it behave in a Human-way if we ourselves stop behaving like an animal. This is all our fault!

If world is Jungle, then Pakistan would be?

If we imagine earth to be a wild forest and countries are assumed to be animals in it; basing on the unique attributes and traits for which each country is known to us, then Pakistan would fall in the category of “cats”. A cat ,though belonging to the family of carnivorous animals, is not known for its wilderness, nor does it possess the threatening nature but actually it is on the top list of most commonly kept pet in homes. Cat is known for its clever yet treacherous nature.Similarities can be observed by keeping in mind the political history of Pakistan. Our country has a very unfortunate history of being ruled over by some of the cleverest yet treacherous political leaders who have used this ability for the attainment of their own selfish interests.
On the other hand, cat possesses nature which allows it to develop sense of affection with its caretaker, when it is given a warm environment and is treated with love and affection. Similar is the case with our country. We form strong bonds with powerful countries which take care of our monetary interests and provides us with financial aids for development and growth purposes.

Although the animal is best known for its soft and harmlessnature, the fact that it belongs to the family of carnivorous animals should not be ignored. Again Pakistan bears similarity in this regard to the cat as although Pakistan is constantly being damaged by the long list of problems, all of catastrophic nature, but when we are threatened by an outside force, the nation unites and fights with rage. A small example can be of cricket match; which is more than just a game for each and every individual in the whole of Pakistan.
A cat has the ability to find its way in the dark. For the world, Pakistan bears the reputation of the under-developed, poverty- struck country, with issues of ginormousextent. But still,we, Pakistanis manage to deal with such issues prolifically; not getting discouraged by the limited resources but finding our way in a dark tunnel with ease.

If we see the dark side of the cat’s traits, it will be noticeable that a cat like other wild members of its family, is not too keen to hunt but prefer to be fed by its caretaker, while it lazes around. We as a nation possess the same characteristics.

To conclude it can be said that we as a nation should stand together, united, and work hard to make Pakistan a developed and prosperous country.

My Earliest Childhood Memory

I’m not quite sure about my earliest childhood memories but from the collection of pictures and videos Addu, (my grandmother) has maintained, I clearly know my childhood wasn't full of pranks, fretting, noisy outbursts and irritating as hell running around.

I was quite the sober one, always keeping to myself. What I do recall is I was gallingly close to my father. I would cry the hell out of my head if a child even got as close as sitting next to Abba. things haven’t changed much in this regard and even the thought of Abba appreciating someone or hugging one of his nieces annoys me!

I also remember my embarrassing to death habit of feeding on milk through baby feeder until I was 6 years old. Yes I would climb up the kitchen cabinet at night and make myself Nido in my special Minnie Mouse feeder. It was only after I was 6 years of age and Muniza, my cousin was born that I reluctantly let go of my special feeder. Oh and yes, I still eat the Cerelac of my junior cousins.

And unlike almost every other kid, I was never scared of anything. I remember Addu putting me off to sleep saying “Churail Kha Jae Gi” (The witch will eat you) and I’d carelessly respond “Mein Churail Ko Kha Jaun Ga” (I’d eat the witch instead). She would threaten me to shut in the dark bathroom and I would vehemently run to the bathroom shut the door and sing at the top of my voice.

My childhood was a collection of bizarre habits and fortunately despite turning 21, my childhood might have gone, the child in me is alive forever!

By Javeria SiddiquiAn owl

An owl ……yes!! Pakistan is an Owl. Prey at night, quiet at the dawn rather sleeping or being blind but wise actually.

Never bothered to explain any guilt, no family or group, prey alone, live alone and take no responsibility for anything.

Actually owls don’t have borders so do Pakistan. It has no borders for large army planes and drones but for the poor fishermen like an owl which kill small rats in its reach.

Pakistan also eats as an owl. The only difference is owl purge it off in pellets while Pakistan save it till rotten. Be it own production or the aid by others.

Mysterious and solitary creature known to keep deep secrets having sharp beak and talons swallow its prey whole is considered as a symbol of dark arts (terrorism in case of Pakistan), wisdom (always dishonest) and highly mean (stand for money, loan only).
I can’t think any other animal being Pakistan owl is the only one in my mind which behaves and act like Pakistan from centuries.

So be proud others wish to be like an owl we as Pakistani are born to be owls. We really do sit and listen but don’t speak not even to defend foul blames we just take them with “whatsoever” attitude and keep listening. We don’t understand that listening without acting is not going to do any good to us but in the end I must say ‘keep calm and listen, we are all owls’.

        The Animal Conundrum

If the world was a jungle: Let’s start with that particular sentence.
Here’s what the cynics would say: It already is a jungle. There’s a reason we call it a dog-eat-dog world. Who cares, we’re all going to hell anyway. And the philosophers would wax theories analyzing man’s inherent animalistic instincts, the biologists would argue and debate darwin’s theories, and meanwhile every single adult you know will shake their head and say, ‘It used to be so sensible when we were young. It truly is a jungle now.”

But these people aren’t writing this blog. I am. So what demographic do I fall under? And if we are truly to be split, not into ages or professions or experience, but rather by thoughts and emotions and feelings, how many of us use patriotism blindly? Profession or age or expression, these things tell us one thing: your country is a snake, your country is a dog, your country is the blood-sucking parasite that clings to bigger, stronger animals and provides nothing, serves no purpose, does no right, and never will. But what do feelings tell us? What do thoughts clouded by emotions tell us?

It’s easy to say that Pakistan is a particular animal, but you can’t really. Because while you’ve the fat, ugly pigs sitting on their thrones, and the lecherous snakes that kill and poison, right next to them are the hardworking horses, the patient hens, the peaceful cows. As a country, Pakistan is too rich to be described by one particular animal, but this, I’m told, is the easy way out. One must, if one is told, find an animal that fits.

In that case, let us be the rooster that blindly crows, no matter what time of the day it be. Let us strut around pretending to be the kings of our domain, blind to our own faults, fighting each other whenever we get the chance. Let us be the one who gets caught and butchered, and eaten and enjoyed. If nothing else, let us be the cockerel, who does not understand man very well and considers him his enemy. And if that doesn’t sound like Pakistan to you, a country where we kill our own country men more than we should, then I don’t know what will.

By Haniya JavedThe story of a crow

Once upon a time, P-crow sat on a tree, his eyes fixed on the approaching boy. The boy was munching on a buttered toast, lost in thought. The P-crow made a direct aim for the boy, snatched the buttered toast and came back to the same position. The boy shot the P-crow an angry look and moved on.

The P-crow found the buttered toast too dry for his tastes. He looked around to find four crows drinking together from a pail of water. He hurried to the pail, hushed them away and tipped the pail so that it came down crashing on the ground. He soaked the buttered toast in water, sat comfortably and picked on the butter, bit-by-bit, oblivious to the wary looks of others.

The ‘caw caw’ noise in the distance brought the P-crow back from his trance. He rushed to the path of the noise and found fellow crows encircling M-crow corpse. Four crows jumped on a tree branch and tore it apart. Another two, grabbed hold of baby crow and dragged him in circles. One crow jumped on papa crow and pounded his head repeatedly with its beak. The rabbits, the cat, the cows, the goats and the elephants looked from a distance and clicked their tongues. Tch tch. The big A-crow came and issued order that all rebels should be pelted with stones. The crows ended up breaking each other necks while the other animals look on, their voices muffled with frequent, tch tch.

P-crow meditates over the whole scene later at night. He decides to leave the crows alone and form alliance with lions. The next morning he visits the King of the Jungle. The king promises him abundant benefits in exchange of the grant to the crow’s territory. The P-crow agrees and returns to its own tree and suspects suspicion from his own people. He brushes all concerns aside. Then when the other crows are distracted elsewhere, he visits each tree and kicks the eggs to the ground. The crows return, enraged. They wail and protest. The P-crow calms them down and renders the whole situation as ‘j-conspiracy.’ The other crows get baffled by P-crow’s smartness. So, from then on whenever anything happened, the P-crow’s words of wisdom were repeated. All madness was indeed nothing but ‘j-conspiracy.’

So, this madness thrives. P-crow continues to live as a puppet, passing his days shitting over the heads of other crows. He visits the lions once every two months where he eats like a glutton, brings loads of benefits home and sits back to watch them multiply. The other crows-which are barely able to fly- come to him with new ideas to make their own food, buttered or not; they no longer care. They stare in shock at the P-crow’s rounded belly. P-crow gives them all a cursory glance and waits in earnest for fresh lamb of which he has grown greatly fond of recently.

Earliest Memory

The earliest memory I remember is of me and my cycling craze. Before that age I don’t particularly remember any memory but only glimpses; my Dad and me talking in a non sense language. My ammi making me fries and mashing them, so I could swallow them hungrily, my cousins fighting to take me in their arms since I was a big headed girl with loads of curly hairs and a temper like a two headed monster (I still have it to be honest).

So, I was writing about my cycling. My parents in the beginning never bought me any cycle because our street had so many cars in it that they were afraid I’d bang myself straight into them. We had those small two seater tricycles in our home for my younger sibs. But I longed for a bicycle of my own. I remember how one day, while the house was being renovated we found this very old fashioned but functioning cycle inside our rooftop room which was used for storing old useless trash. My father told me it belonged to my youngest chachoo, saying: “Amir ki thi. Jab chalana chor di to yaheen reh gae”and then seeing my obvious expressions, “Ab Yumna ye mat kehna k YE CHAHIYE!”

Naturally, I went mad. I begged them to pull it out and get it repaired for me. Its chain was fixed and the seats were cleaned, and no less than three weeks later, I was riding it proudly. It was a cool cycle, it had a cylindrical seat going all the way up with a backside support also.  It had those ajeeb puraaney zamaane wale front handles which used to be curved in a U shape in those times. And the most important feature it had was its ‘TRING TRING’ thumb bell. Completely and continuously pissing my neighbors off.

So, my earliest memory is of me, a young girl in her primary classes famous because of her Old fashioned cycle, seen almost every day on the streets of our neighborhood. My dadi always said, “Beta, larkian itni cycle sawaarian nahi krti hen. Mat jao aj bahir”, at that time, I used to roll my eyes and ignore her.

Until now I had no idea what to tell my friends who always ask me how I ended up so tall. But now, As an answer an image of my cycle comes to my mind. Because, a week ago we went over to meet our grandmother and while I had to crouch lower in order to hug her, she said in my ears, “Dekh! kitni lambi hogai cycle chala chala k!”

And I laughed.

So, If you’re still hoping for a tall height, try this ‘Desi dadi Totka’ maybe?! Hah! It’s never too late.

·      IF WORLD IS A JUNGLE ,THEN WHAT ANIMAL PAKISTAN WOULD BE :

Ø  LAST DAYS MY TEACHER PUT A TASK TO WRITE A BLOG WITH THE TITLE “IF WORLD IS A JUNGLE THEN WHAT ANIMAL PAK WOULD BE “…BY LISTENING THIS TITLE ,MANY THOUGHTS CLICK MY MIND …AT ONE SIDE A THOUGHT CAME THAT HOW SHOULD I START IT WITH…SHOULD I START IT WITH SOME BANANA IDEAS THAT EVERYONE DO i.e. WITH THE IDEA OF CONFLICTING MINDS,CONFLICTING ISSUES OR CONFLICTING SCENARIOS..BUT ON OTHER SIDE … A PRESSURE WAS EMERGING UNCONCIOUSLY…WHAT WAS THAT…WHAT WAS STRESSING MY OWN OPENION…THAN I STOPED MY FINGERS A BIT AND LET MY MIND RELAX TO TAKE AN INDEPENDENT DECISION… N THAT INDEPENDENT DECISION TOOK ME IN THE HEAVEN OF THE INDEPENDENT WORLD…

Pakistan Is ?

While discussing with a friend of mine that which animal Pakistan is we concluded on a decision that our beloved country is a (cornered) or a sleeping tiger.
Surprised how?
It is not just because of my love and reverences for my nation that I can’t say it a donkey dog owl ostrich or any other weird creature.

But to tell you truth this is the reason I just can’t describe my country as” dog” or donkey. While discussing it with everyone around me and churning the wheels of my mind that God! Somebody please tell me that which animal is Pakistan I received so many responses where somebody said it’s a donkey or dog.
For them they might be not wrong because looking at the stark scenario and circumstance in which we are dwelling to preserve our independence and the battle to restore normalcy back into the country. Be it political social or millitary. One might easily get dejected.

One needs a lot of gut and optimism to resume his belief of better future.
People’s first reaction would be is the writer insane calling Pakistan  “tiger”.
But why not?

Don’t we have the best army in the world to overpowering the enemies as they are doing it on the borders?
Aren’t  we gifted with a rich historical backgrounds where this soil has witnessed and preserves within itself the treasure of stories from civilizations to civilizations of Aryans Indus and Changhez khan from  Mongols; where each part  offers wonderful historical monuments that narrates the inexplicable stories of its times. The nurturing ground for Sufism- yet another mystical art of poetry which holds in it the golden truths of life.
Does not everyone keep their keen eyes on our state for our geographical and strategic location in the map?
Doesn’t  our land owns with the reserves of the rarest mineral and oils which can give our economy a boost not for years but for innumerable decades to follow?

The difference is just that our classic idols have been replaced by the idols such as Yo YO Honey Singh we are badly addicted whats app, viber, tango. And tell you what I have neither whats app nor viber…weird isn’t it but I am completely fine with it..!

So the day would be marked as the dawn for our country when our honorable and yet not so patriotic minister would stop begging for aids and loans for futile development plans.

The day my fellowmen realized their potentials we will be a roaring from a sleeping one tiger ruling at least our fates and destiny if not of others!

MY EARLIEST MEMORY

Our life is a mixture of so many incidents, but not all of them become a memory. “A memory” that seizes a part of your brain, holding a lesson that pinches you every time you get close to it. And not only incidents, but some people also become a memory that never dies even after they are gone. I have such a memory as a person, who has left this world, leaving behind “A memory” that has taught all of his friends and Family a lesson about living a happy life.

“Khurram Bhai”, My cousin, not less than a brother, a caring big brother. A person who we thought is the happiest person alive, because we never got to see even a little sign of despair on his face ever. A kind-hearted person, always ready to help everyone around, never caring for his own loss, but giving out as much as he could to the people he knows, and also to the people who were totally unknown to him. He had the passion to do something for people, to make his life worth living. Due to such amazing personality of him, nobody could simply turn around without appreciating him or getting impressed. That lively nature made a huge impact of his family and friends too, as nothing could ever be imagined to do without his opinion.

When we were little kids, he used to visit our place to play with us, tell us interesting stories, bring “CHEEZ” for us, taught us how to install games on computer, and along with that, teaching us all the good things, advising to be a responsible and trustworthy child of our parents. Although he himself was just 20 years old at that time, but we never ever saw him doing kind of things that could have brought any kind of tension to his family. Sports and music was something he loved doing. He had a very beautiful voice, used to sing different songs, entertaining people around, making them smile and laugh. He loved to offer “NAATS” too, that one Naat he was always seen offering was “Huzoor (S.A.W) aesa koi imtehaan hojaye, Salaam k lie haazir ghulaam hojaye”. Khurram bhai, such impressive personality, we never thought could be vanished somewhere. I was one of those, who thought that Khurram bhai has a very bright future, as he is a good student, a good employ, and he is simply a mentor for all us as he always encouraged me, appreciating my dreams. He really became a roll ideal for me. Time rolled and he turned 25, I still remember that day when we all were watching Pak/Ind match, nd suddenly he felt pain on his back but he didn’t complain. But then the pain got worst and he went home. Some days later, we heard news that he got admitted in Hospital, doctors are suspicious for something. Then a month later, he was diagnosed with Blood cancer. But what a Man he was, we all were crying like hell but he was smiling and laughing giving us all hope by patting on our back. The very next month, on the 3rd may 2011, he left this world and departed for a much better place. That day was unbelievable for us, it was very sudden. Because according to doctors, he could be cured. We all had our hopes high, then how could he be gone? Then later we realized that he was actually on the edge of death, still he wasn’t complaining for anything. Instead he was the one who gave us this hope that he will live. And this was the only thing he lied about. Later we found pictures and videos he made alone on his deathbed, waving, and saying goodbyes to everyone.

His death wasn’t his death only, our hopes died, our perception about the reality of life died, and a new one was born. I thought, we all have a long life, a lot of time there is. Now I know, that the time is the only less thing we have.  And GOD can call us anytime and what worries me is that, would I be able to gather enough good deeds to impress my lord, in such short period of life? May be I can, but I need to polish my personality like that of Khurram bhai. I know, Why GOD has called him so early, because he must have had all the keys to pass though this world and go to the next level. I am labeling this memory “An earliest one” cos’ it remains alive with us in the form of those examples he marked for us to follow and achieve the real goal of life i.e to become a role model for others to follow.

The animal Pakistan is

I had heard a lot about our sir’s capability to come up with bizarre topics for assignments. Hence, when in class he asked if anyone had any idea for our next week’s blog topic, I stayed quiet despite having thought of one. To be honest, I was hoping for something interesting, which could also maintain the momentum of the class. But this one was rather controversial.

As soon as he announced the topic ‘If the world was a jungle, what animal is Pakistan?’ my brain functioned rather quickly than usual and my mouth uttered ‘Dog!’ Pakistan would be a dog. A golden retriever, a cockle spaniel, an Alsatian or rather a poodle. Dog in the broader spectrum, no specific breed nor structure. Such a reaction was purely based on an innocent thought. I am fond of Dogs. I have wanted to own one since I was very little and once got quite close to having one for a lifetime, but because of religious and social barriers, failed terribly.

When I started to justify my choice to my friends, I began listing the characteristics. By default the first that came into my mind was ‘faithful’; there is something got to be very wrong in that connection.
Pakistan = Faithful. Nah! Who am I kidding?

Then I gave it a second thought and reality struck me by surprise and I murmured ‘Sahi hai na? Pakistan toh kutta he hai! (Isn’t it right, Pakistan is a dog!)’ and smirked. But if I am stating the odds and remarking that Pakistan would be a dog in the jungle, then it would have to learn to act like one. Be brave. Be independent. Fight for its right. Be faithful. Be caring. Be empathetic. I can go on and on with more positive traits than negative. So can this be Pakistan? I highly doubt it.

I am not being pessimistic here but judging it on the basis of recent events.
So now I am back at square one. What animal would Pakistan be?

I had a whole week to think about it until I sat in my drawing room and mentioned the offbeat topic we had been given. A 70-year old sitting on her takhat (a long bench) voiced ‘ghadda!’ (donkey).
Why didn’t I come up with the obvious?

And yes, my nani (granny) had got it right. Pakistan is a donkey! The one who everyone keeps burdening and yet he says nothing. The one whose voice becomes unbearable to others. The one who can’t stand up for itself. Frankly my dear, the one who no one cares about. (Well I couldn’t help but rephrase the famous Gone with the Wind dialogue)

I don’t think there is a need to elaborate any further on my choice of animal. I myself don’t like donkeys but I do feel sympathetic towards them and for now, that’s all I can do.

Earliest Childhood Memory

Old people say that childhood is the best part of life. There is no doubt that child hood is the golden period in man's life. There is nothing to worry about. No cares and no troubles. Parents are present to serve us and love us. Take a look back at childhood and remember all its happy days -- the jolly games, the long rambles in the country, the fun I had at school, the kind father and mother and the little sisters and brothers, the old home, the sweets and cakes they used to eat, the children's parties, the jokes used to play, and the present I got when was kid, I had not to work hard to get something to eat; My mother gave all I wanted.

I used to hear stories as I am on bed at night. Everyday my mother tells a new story, one day she said all the stories are ended now; you have to sleep without listing any story and make that habit. I was only 7 years old and don’t know what she said. I cried, shouted “ muje kahani suni haaaaaaai” haha
Then my papa said: “aj me sunnata hun story ap ko”. That story was on me “ek choti si gandi se bachi thi jo roz khani sunti thi magar use kch b smj hi nahi ata tha” . Are you talking about me Baba? I asked.
Nahi tum to achi bachi ho tum khudi so jati ho, me to ek gandi bachi ki bat kar raha hun. My father replied. I said oh ok.

Well in the story the girl was me and my papa was keep repeating the same line “ek gandi bachi thi jo zor khani sunti thi magar use smj kch b nahi ata” haha. It was true because he was repeating the same line and I did not notice that. Form that time I stop listing any bedtime story :P

Earliest Memory of my Childhood!!

“She should be put to death for this, I’ll punish her, I’ll take revenge myself. She killed him! It’s my entire fault I left him alone on the roof to play.” (Crying and sobbing)
In this sad condition, I was ready to die with grief, I cried out in agony, beat my head and threw myself upon the ground, over whelmed by a rushing current of thoughts, each more distressing then the last, I hated myself for this kind of irresponsible act, and wanting the criminal to go through her punishment.
“Oh stop crying dear! I’ll bring you another one, it was just a chick!!!” said Mom......

  A chick???

Yes…J a baby-chicken!!!! He was my dearest pet, eaten by a cat…
Some of you will call me a born-certified–drama-queen…

The fact is that many people do not realize how traumatic and confusing a pet’s death can be on a child. 3 to 4 years old children gets too much attach and loves their pet, pets are more than just animals their families own — they're members of the family and the best of friends, they takes care of them like their own kid, they spend lots of time with them, some of the children also share their whole-day-story with pets.
Whenever I think about my childhood this is the earliest memory comes in my mind that was really a tragedy, a saddest thing that happened with me in my whole life at that time, but now whenever I think about it, it makes me laugh like hell.
With thousands of tears I shed it wasn't over. I buried my chick in the backyard so that he’ll stay with me forever. At the same night I picked my pen, took out my art pad, drew a chick on it and colored it so beautifully, I placed it on the roof where that criminal act was done, and hid, holding my water gun in hand, and started waiting for the cat…

And this was my unsuccessful plan, I thought that cat will think my drawing a real chick and when she’ll attack it to eat, I’ll shoot her with my water gun, and punish the criminal cat.

“And this is not just one; there are tons of silly and stupid memories of that glorious care free days, Treasured forever are the memories of my childhood, I wish could turn back time and live my childhood once again”...
