Two years Experience of University Life

The tale of 730 days

“University life would be the best of all!”

“It makes your personality…gives you a chance to identify yourself”

Such are the words of wisdom given to everyone stepping into this new phase of life. Our expectations and excitement doubles especially when movies show cliché subjects of university lives.

Yes, theories of juggling with assignments and workload, finding true friends, cruising with them in Ferrari, late night parties and stereotypical love life-the mere sound of all these fascinate us. (Let us not deny it! We have all gone through that phase)

Hold on, did I forget to mention I am going to talk about Karachi University??? I am sure by now; everyone has figured it out because those two words explain a whole story in itself.

So let us start again, juggling with assignments and workload is even out of the question, considering what our teachers actually teach us
.
Cruising with friends in a Ferrari becomes hitch hiking in random strangers cars or walking on foot under an umbrella
.
Late night parties –the only parties we ever do come across are the political ones.
Stereotypical love life- avoiding ‘kewl KUrian bowys’

Only one thing that every university experience makes us gain (I am talking about the majority here) and so has Karachi University given, is a set of true friends, the ones who made this unsatisfactory, boring lectures, empty classes and unknowledgeable 730 days survivable. Phew! Thank God for that!!!!
